Product description

Aker Fassi is a Moroccan beauty ritual that has existed for hundreds of years and has now found its way back to bathroom shelves. A natural lip and cheek tint made from dried pomegranate peel and poppy petals laid out in the sun and then crushed in a small terracotta bowl.

Nothing else. No pigments, no synthetic colour. Only peel, petals and sun.

The colour is red when you apply it and blends into a warm pink shade on the skin. You decide how dark or light it becomes by how much you use and how you blend it.

What it does for the skin

  • Pomegranate peel is full of polyphenols and antioxidants that may protect against free radicals and have an anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Poppy petals contain mucilage that softens and soothes the skin.
  • Aker Fassi can provide a natural glow, help retain moisture and give a mildly astringent effect.

How to use it

  1. Moisten a thin brush or cotton swab with rose water, lavender water or an oil. Argan oil or cactus oil work best.
  2. Rub lightly in the terracotta bowl until the brush picks up colour.
  3. Apply to lips or cheeks.
  4. Blend with your fingertip or a clean brush to achieve the intensity you want.
Ingredients

Dried pomegranate peel (Punica granatum) and dried poppy petals (Papaver rhoeas).

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

01 How do I use Aker Fassi?

Moisten a thin brush or cotton swab with rose water, lavender water or an oil. Argan oil or cactus oil work best. Rub lightly in the bowl until the brush picks up colour, apply to lips or cheeks and blend with your fingertip for the intensity you want.

02 What colour does it become on the skin?

The colour is red in the bowl but settles as a warm pink shade on the skin. You decide how dark or light it becomes by how much you use and how you blend it.

03 Does the colour last all day?

Like most natural pigments, the colour fades gently after a few hours, especially on the lips. Reapply as needed.

04 How long does the bowl last?

Depending on how often you use it, around 6 to 12 months. Because the pigment is dry, it lasts a long time.

05 What does it contain?

Dried pomegranate peel (Punica granatum) and dried poppy petals (Papaver rhoeas).

Nothing else. No synthetic colourants.
