A love story with plenty of setbacks, a burning passion for entrepreneurship in Aida and Eben, and a trip to Ghana that ended with us being stuck there \u2013 much longer than planned \u2013 because of the pandemic. Nuni Global is a family business founded in 2020, just as the pandemic was spreading. Flight after flight was cancelled, we were expecting our second child \u2013 our Alaina \u2013 and had more questions than answers. After an Instagram story, a friend asked Aida: \u201cWhat products do you use on your skin?\u201d One question and one answer were all it took for Nuni Global to take shape and expand at lightning speed. The products have spoken for themselves, and we are incredibly proud of that.<\/p>\n\n
Unrefined, handmade shea butter and black soap are simple products, but they have truly remarkable properties. With their antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturising and cleansing properties, they have been the answer to all kinds of skin and hair concerns. They have been made and used in Ghana and several African countries for thousands of years and were actually Cleopatra\u2019s favourites when it came to skincare. We could talk for a long time about how wonderful these products are for skin and hair care.<\/p>\n\n
But above all, they are history, culture and heritage. Made by remarkable women in Ghana, the income from our large purchases strengthens their socioeconomic conditions. This in turn enables development for the entire local community where they live, for families, children and other women, because the women invest in community development. This is our absolute why. And you, as a customer, have made it possible. We are eternally grateful to you.<\/p>\n\n
